MCC Carpet Cleaning Gets Cleaner!

Bill Murphy, Owner, MCC Carpet Cleaning, Inc. Finds Gold in HUGR
Fuel
11/27/02 -- Bill Murphy, owner of MCC Carpet Cleaning
explained the dilemma facing his industry. "We keep hearing rumors
about stricter EPA guidelines concerning our machines. It is our
understanding that we'll have two choices when the
upcoming EPA mandates for non-attainment go into effect; work limited
days and hours or go out of business. I wanted to be prepared and
institute plans to deal with the new regulations now. I didn't want
to wait until
the rug was pulled out from under my feet".
Fortunately, the EPA recognizes the ASTM specification of HUGR Fuel as
an acceptable alternative fuel. By replacing his twin-cylinder
gasoline powered cleaning machines with HUGR fueled compression ignition
systems, Bill is no longer concerned about the upcoming regulations.
"And to top it off" says Bill, "these things don't burn any fuel!
We need to carefully calculate the real difference between the gas and
HUGR units, but my best guess is that the old machine was burning up to
twenty gallons a week. The HUGR CleanLine burns four to five!
When I convert all the trucks over we'll be saving approximately $1000.00
to $1500.00 per year per van. When you combine this with the
reduction in maintenance, increased reliability and a engine with at least
four times the life of my old gas twins, I'm saving a fortune. Not
to mention a marketing edge that no other company currently enjoys. HUGR is
gold!"
